Dr. Milind Sawant brings to Fortis Hospitals both national and international experience in knee joint replacement.
Apart from his orthopaedic training and experience at the renowned JJ group of hospitals Mumbai, he was associated with St. George's and South Thames Orthopaedic rotation London, Holly House Hospital Knee Unit, England and Cambridge & East Anglia Orthopaedic Rotation, England, to obtain his vast experience. His last overseas appointment was with Ipswich Hospital, Ipswich, England, UK after which he decided to come back and serve his fellow Indians.
Dr. Sawant is a name carved in the field of knee replacements and has performed hundreds of successful knee replacements under the Fortis Joint replacement program, which also includes his contributions to the society through various awareness programs and media interactions. Dr. Sawant being a strong pillar in taking the Joint Replacement program at Fortis hospitals ahead, has been using his vast experience to service the patients at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai for the past several years.
In addition Dr. Sawant has a number of publications to his credit including national and International journals and has also been awarded for his academic achievements in the past including being short listed for the President's Millennium Prize, Royal Society of Medicine, 2000. His further achievements are listed below.
